The first group from EYFS had their first Forest School session of for this year. Here are some photos of what they have been up to.
KS2 have been getting used to the new Forest School area and choosing their own resources.
Owl class have been exploring our new Forest School area.
For their first session of the year I set Mulberry class the challenge of building a lighting a fire. I was impressed with the skills they had remembered from last year. We understood where we went wrong and what we did well. Mulberry class were very excited when I informed them we would be progressing on to using tools and making toasting forks next!
Today Butterfly class had Forest school for the first time. We all chose a Forest school name and started to learn about the rules to keep us safe. We played some games to reinforce that we don’t walk in the sit-upon circle and finished with a game of hide and seek.
Skylarks had beautiful weather for the first session of forest school this year. I was very impressed with how many rules they had remembered. We spoke about how to use bug pots and magnifying glasses and the importance of looking after them.
Purple class have had a lovely few sessions at forest school and finished up by enjoying popcorn. Here are some pictures of what they have been up to.
The nursery children brought a friend to meet Barry this week! They brought Bella the badger with them. Barry and Bella had a lovely time climbing trees and playing together.

Today the nursery children have been toasting marshmallows, looking at the photos I think they enjoyed them!
Red class spent lots of time making things using knots.
