The second EYFS group went to Forest School this afternoon. We had a lovely time exploring in the sunshine!
The first group from EYFS had their first Forest School session of for this year. Here are some photos of what they have been up to.
On Wednesday 19th July the EYFS Children; Nursery and Reception Classes performed a musical version of ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’.
The children had been working towards this public performance during their weekly music lessons this term with Mr Tim Hodson school’s peripatetic music teacher.
The audience, made up of family and friends, was delighted and greatly impressed by the children’s musical progress.
Many thanks to PC Pete (Daisy’s dad) who very kindly came in with a police van. The children loved sitting in the van and making lots of noise with the siren. Several children also enjoyed sitting in the back of the van. They did also learn lots about the police and what they do to help us
The children had a lovely time during Book Trust Week. The morning children had a visit from Orla who read stories to them and also gave the children a book to take home.
The afternoon children visited Caister library. They loved looking at the books and also hearing stories. We took home lovely story packs from the Book Trust which all children were able to take home to share with their families. All children also received details for joining the library and information about the summer reading scheme.
Everyone in nursery has had a lovely time with the ducklings. We had six eggs and this year we were very lucky that all six hatched and were all very healthy and noisy. The children had the chance to hold the ducklings and also watch them have a swim. We all loved looking after them and have missed them since they went back to the farm where they will have lots of room to run around and swim.
