A weekly draw is held, usually during Friday’s assembly, and the “over and above” behaviors are celebrated and rewarded with a prize. However each raffle ticket counts and adds up to a year group winner who is presented with a trophy at the end of the school year.
Monday 16th October.
As well as dressing up as Native Americans for the day, Year 4 also used natural materials to make tepees and longhouses. Miss Pulham showed us how to create different coloured flames and smoke signals from a fire.
During the morning we all participated in an excellent dance workshop with Lorraine Theobald (www.multiculturaldance.co.uk) based around Native American dance. We then choreographed our own short performance to show to friends and family in the afternoon.
On Wednesday 11th of October Year 4 visited The Lawns in Great Yarmouth to sing Harvest songs, talk to the residents and deliver some Harvest Festivals treats.
